Our clinical committee

Every page on Nuanse is reviewed by registered mental health professionals before it goes live. They make sure what you read is accurate, current, and safe.

What the committee does

  • Reviews every article, guide, and printable before publication
  • Reviews content again at least once a year, or sooner when research changes
  • Advises on new topics and formats
  • Makes sure our language is respectful and free of stigma

    Credentials: Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.), provincially licensed

    Role: Reviews content on exposure and response prevention (ERP) and evidence-based treatment.

    Credentials: Child psychiatrist (M.D., FRCPC)

    Role: Reviews the ages 7–12 and 13–17 paths, and content written for parents and schools.

    Role: Reviews content for loved ones: what to say, what to avoid, how to support without feeding compulsions.

How review works

  1. A committee clinician helps write the page in plain language.
  2. A second member reviews it for clinical accuracy and tone.
  3. The page names the reviewer and the review date before it goes live.
  4. Every page is revisited at least once a year.

Independence

Committee members review content for accuracy only. Nuanse doesn't refer patients to them, and they don't use Nuanse to promote their practice.
